View Full Version : GRAW 2: needs to be said
When my game store was out of Copies of Call of Juarez, I decided to rent GRAW 2. It's amazing what a difference a year makes. This game was so much better than the original. the V-sync issues and choppiness have all been corrected. The Story is much better, and the game just runs so smooth. Had I known that these things were fixed, I would have bought it when it came out. The only reason I'm probably not going to buy it after renting it is the lack of avalible game modes over live.. It's not that there isn't a good variety, but it seems all that anyone plays are elimination/sharpshooter matches. Those are ok, but I prefer something more than just run and kill. I personally like a little more strategical and team based game modes.
So yeah, this game has been out for a while, but it really surprised me. The only reason I rented it was because everything else was out, but what a pleasant supprise

AHDTVDiet 06-18-07, 07:10 PM Awesome game but a little short and much easier then the first even on the hardest setting.
HeadRusch 06-18-07, 07:47 PM Considering this is one of the few available games out there that has:
1) Actual achievement-based online co-op missions (3 more than the original had I think, if not 4 or more...can't recall how many missions there are right now)
2) The ability to play many, many different maps online as Terrorist Hunts (you versus bots)
3) The ability to play human versus human in a variety of ways (deathmatch, team dm, etc)
...means I have no idea what you mean when you want "more online options".....this game and Vegas pretty much redefine what you can do online.....(!???)
The only game better than this online might be Vegas or Gears of War that allow you to play the actual CAMPAIGN as a co-op, but thats about it.
When you say you want more online...what could you possibly be asking for??
Shizelbs 06-18-07, 08:23 PM Its an exceptional game.
beezdeez 06-18-07, 08:26 PM FWIW Target had GRAW 2 on sale for $40 last week. I haven't checked this week, though.

Granted I've only had the game a short time, I should have stated that the only (ranked) games I ever find people playing are elimination. I wish there was more people playing other game types
Do the skating players online bother you? I thought the player movements in multiplayer needed a lot of work.
Graw competitions tend to be Last Man Standing and Takedown - practicing for those give a little variety.

Me and my friends had the exact opposite reaction when we played. We used to play the first one multiplayer a lot ever since it came out last year (still haven't finished the single player). A few weeks ago a guy brought over GRAW2 so we played a few rounds. We were playing 4 player split (how we always play since I am almost the only one with a 360) and the game was extremely choppy and it was hard to make out what was happening nearly every game. I had planned on picking this game up but since mostly what we play is split multi during weekly meetings I am not so sure.

newfmp3 06-19-07, 02:17 PM GRAW1 was kinda boring. I traded it for GOW. GRAW2....excellent but too short. Still enjoyed RB6 better but it's a different type of experience.

Thanks for the tip- I have a raincheck from FRY's when they had it at release for $35 and they still haven't had copies reordered. I'm annoyed about that and have had enough to do otherwise to sit around and wait (also that it was more of a MP title than a SP so I don't feel compelled to pay full price for the title). Assuming BB has it in stock I'm done waiting and will spring for the extra $5.
Zappcatt 06-20-07, 09:56 PM Another fan of GRAW,GRAW2 and RB6.
I finished the campaigns of all of them and GRAW2 was BY FAR the easiest game I have completed(also the only one I have ever done on the hardest setting).
I find plenty of options for Live MP.
