View Full Version : The OFFICIAL JBL Owners Thread
Jeremy112 06-18-07, 06:33 PM I was surfing this forum, and I was stunned to see there is NO JBL Owners thread, so I took it upon me to make one!
Pretty much all info regarding JBL Speakers on this thread! What series do you own, what do you preffer, support questions and related!
Or even those who are thinking of getting JBL's:D
Enjoy!
I was thinking about doing this thread a while ago. :)
I love my JBLs.
Have SRX Series, Northridge E series, Studio S series, and the Studio Monitors.
Oh and some Pro Cinema JBL Subs. :D
eugovector 06-19-07, 10:38 AM Center: S Center II
Fronts: S38 II
Rear: N24 II
Sub: Athena AS-P300
Thanks to thrifty shopping, that whole system cost me under $500.
At my production station I have a pair of E30s hooked up to a T-Amp. Poor man's monitors, what can I say?
Patdeisa 06-19-07, 08:26 PM I think this would have been better in the speaker forum, unless you meant JBL subs.
Anyway, I have a pair of S38 "bookshelf" speakers.

Popular choice. I agree on moving the thread.
utcpyro 06-20-07, 12:35 AM Diddo on moving it.
This is my current JBL setup:
Recever: H/K AVR 147
Mains: JBL E60
Center: JBL E25 (upgrade to E35 planed when one can be found in Cherry)
Surround: JBL E20
Sub: Audio Pro Ace Bass B2-40
Pulled it off (w/o the receiver) for about $350 when the E Series was just ended and there were really good deals on refurbs on E-Bay. Mains were new, and the sub was one my dad had but was never able to use due to lack of a pre-amp.
Let's see... And my car (Toyota Avalon, it was free) has a JBL system in it, and my parents have some studio monitors set up in the living room at there house. On that topic, I think that in the radio station that my dad used to own we used JBL stuff.
I did the same thing in September of 06. Got my E90's for $495 a pair and that included free shipping. I think that the Northridge series got a bum rap and were noted to be underrated by the audiofilies. My mains have no issues with filling my 6000 cubic foot room in Stero mode at 140 watts per channel.

John Ballentine 06-25-07, 11:12 PM Currently using 6 ea JBL 4412's, 2 ea 4410's and 4 ea 4408's across my two home theaters. Started w/ JBL 100's in 1974 when I was 21. Had JBl's ever since. Love that "West Coast" sound.
Jeremy112 06-26-07, 12:01 AM :| No wonder I couldnt find this thread, well i think it should be moved as well!
