I decided to give TVersity a try. I tried to watch Michael Moore's Sicko documentary. It played for about 3 minutes and then the movie just froze. Why? I let it sit like that for another 3 minutes and then I just shut down the 360. Any ideas or suggestions? Thx

I had to give up on TVersity. I can stream compatible media straight to the 360 over my wireless without problems so my connection seems strong enough (I have all green bars full).

However, when I try to use TVersity I get stuttering and freezing while streaming DivX/XviD files. I've adjusted the quality settings and other stuff in TVersity and still have the issues. I gave up when I was heading towards very very low resolution settings just to get it to work so I just burn the files to DVD RW and pop them into my Oppo DVD player.

I assume that my problem is that my PC is too slow to decode. I have a P4 2.8GHz with 1GB RAM. This is the longest that I've ever had the same PC and it looks like an upgrade is in order, but I hardly use all its horsepower since I stopped gaming on it after I quit WoW and got a 360.

What are your PC specs?

Hit their forums and ask what the optimal settings are for your setup. It did that for me and I had to bump the resolution down. It mainly depends on your network setup.

Dell 4550 I believe ...
P4 1.8
1.0 gb ram

Pretty sure it would run better on my gaming rig but its going through a lot of problems. Its constantly restarting ... I think b/c the video card gets too hot.

I have a Pentium D Duo Core 2.8GHz with 1.5GB ram and use TVersity all the time. I watched "The Ex", "Spiderman 3" and "Shrek the Third" on my xbox using TVersity and it never locked up or even glitched one time. My Dell Dimension fan was roaring the whole time the movie was playing but it never gave me any issues. Not sure if it's healthy for my computer to run like that constantly but it does work. I think you guys just need a little bit faster machine and more ram.

True... what I blamed the problem on was the specs of the PC.

I actually think they recommend a dual core processor. I find I can only use TVersity successfully to watch downloaded tv shows that are about 350 MB for a 40 minut show. When I download an episode that is around 700 Mb then it stutters for me too. I use a wireless set up and even when I tried wired the results were the same. My PC is a 3.0 Ghz Pentium with 1 gig ram. Still I think I prefer watching this stuff on my couch better than sitting at my desk.
