Well, I had to resort to my Zenith IQDVD2300 Player from 1999 (first one ever) because my Sammy took a dump. Constant No Disc error no matter what disc is inserted. 12 month parts and 3 month labor warranty. UTTER CRAP. So, I need suggestions.

Scrap it, and get the HD-DVD addon for the xbox 360.

Or, fix it, if they will send me the part to replace. (sending it in, and having them fix it will probably be $50+ and I only paid like $99.99)

Or, keep it, send it in, and eat whatever it costs to replace because its worth it. Problem is, how much is it worth. I'm thinking its worth what I paid or less, so unless they send me the parts required to fix it, I might as well ebay it or toss it.

At this point I see no reason to purchase another upconverting DVD player. What do you all think?

so is it under warrantee or not?

if yes, fix it and sell it right away.
if no, get this doorstop out of your sight and move on.

samsung players don't exactly rank high on the reliability list,
most forumers here will recommend you to try Oppo or Sony ns75
but if you don't feel like spending money on another upconverting DVD player, go hi-def.

Well they want 30$ + shipping to fix it. No matter what is wrong with it. Not sure if we'll get it fixed or not, thanx for all the responses guys
