I was thinking of getting (in this case the Canon HV20) at Circuit City.. Circuit city offers 2 year protection plans at a whopping $179...

I've heard you can do this as long as you purchase one within 30 days of the camcorder..

Anyone done this.. is this true?

If so.. I dont see why I would waste my time wasting $179 at CC for the warranty.

I dont mind shipping the camera if it breaks as long as its covered :)

As a side question.. has anyone found the camera online at reputable vendors for a lot less than the $999 at CC (though cc offers 24 free financing.. so this is a little hard to pass up)..
