Hi my bravo works fine, and actually is the second unit I have had. I want to get the most performance out of it. I have a panny hdplasma th-50px60 and am running a dvi out to hmdi to the unit. What is the latest firmware for the unit? I can't seem to find any downloads. Also what is the deal with loaders and with custom settings. What would be best for my application. Also am I correct to assume this unit is no worse than any of the upconverting units out there now??? my res btw is :

1366 x 768 pixels.

Thanks!! Sean

also I set the custom settings to the above and it doesn't show the picture I have to toggle it to 720p or 1080i. Thoughts? I just want the best picture etc.

Did you use the custom resolution program attached below?

Search on the <$3000 Projector Forum for Bravo D1 and SP4805 projector for details on latest firmware, how to check firmware, where to download firmware, loader change, where to buy new DVD loader, capacitor replacement, secret menu for region/macrovision free setting, other tweaks, etc.

Cavu is the Bravo king as he has modded over 100 players. Try PM him.

I did use the program. I set the values as follows and it still doesn't show anything unless I toggle it to dvi 480-1080. I didn't know what to set the refresh rate at, so I set it at 60 first and then 48 thinking that lower is better? Here is what I the paste from clipboard in that prog shows:

37920,1368,48,144,192,1752,0,48,768,1,3,18,790,0,66435840

ok so I inputed the values with the wizard with many different settings. The only one that sort of worked was to set it at 1368x 768 @75. The image however produced a red background was all shifted up and left of center and did not fit the screen. what do I set it at?

Refresh should ONLY be at 59.94 Hz or you will ruin your plasma.

I tried it at different rates and it just didn't display anything. I have since stuck it to the dvi 720 etc and there has been no harm and certainly no ruining of anything.
