Well somehow my Forza 2 disc has the dreaded circular scratches on it and won't play. I searched the forum and saw that MS has a $20 replacement deal. But there has to be another way. Has anyone tried anything else? I've sent PC games back to the manuf for free replacement before. The sandpaper thing sounds scary to me, but what have I got to loose.

My Gears disc got cracked by the 360. I just bought a replacement off of ebay. I thin my price was about $25.

I had a game come once scrathced to. Now I know why BB asks if we want game disc insurance. :eek:

You are within 30 days go replace it problem solved. The game just got released. The policy at most stores you cannot get a refund but you can exchange for the same game.

i returned mine to circuit city and told them it was defective, my console didnt scratch my disc though, but they didnt even look at the disc, they just told me to get another and swtich it out.

Got it at Gamestop locally. Anyone know there policy on this type problem? Only been 20 days since purchase.

Any used one of the disc scratch remover machines?

good luck with gamestop, they wont do anything for you with new games, if you bought it used it wouldnt be a problem.

they could buff it down with a scratch remover and that may work, but the disc becomes thinner and weak.

my advice, in the future shop at CC or another place that gives 30 day exchanges for the same item, no questions asked.

Your right about that. Gamestop will give 2 you know whats...

I like either the walmarts, CCs, and even BBs when it comes to getting games these days...

yeah stores like eb games and such will replace it for you, so far I havent had any of those probs with my 360 :)

Not exactly honest: You could always take it back to Walmart and say that it was a gift.

Its handled, got a replacement, all is good :D
