I have a martin logan abyss and sometimes it starts bouncing when bass like the intro to jurrasic park 3 starts playing. I have it in a downfiring configuration and have some books on top of it to keep it from bouncing.
What are some possible solutions? I think im going to have to bolt it to the floor :D

i have tile so unless i drill some holes in the tile i dont think i will be getting spikes, any other suggestion. If i dont find a solution then i guess i dont have a choice in adding spikes.
I occasionally have a similar problem with my PB12+/2. I have looked at the sub-dude but it is not big enough for my application. I had thought about some sort of rubber mat that is designed to ease the strain on the working mans' feet. I do not know how well it would work or how it would look. I am also on porcelain tile so spikes are out of the question. Would love to find a real solution though.

You could always buy a second sub and stack it on the other upfiring. :-)
I don't have a down firing sub, but I can't see any reason why putting a rubber mat under it with spikes wouldn't work.
If your sub is sitting on tile, try putting a throw rug underneath it and then add those spikes. The throw rug should help the sound too.
A 2" thick granite slab that is the same size as the top of your sub will weigh around 40 lbs.
That would double the amount of mass keeping the sub in place...inertia is a wonderful thing.

FWIW the new Great GRAMMA (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GreatGRAMMA) is 19"x30".

ok i am going to start looking for spikes then. And i didnt want to put anything on top of the sub because it looks ugly( i have some books now), maybe the granite slab wont looks as ugly, but still. Thanks for all the suggestions

Be sure to pick up a set that comes with the disks to under the spikes when you use them on a hard floor...

Places dealing with custom countertops are the best best for picking up a cut piece of granite these days.
The variety of colors/finishes etc is pretty broad anymore so you might still be able to find something that matches your aesthetic tastes.
Good luck!

Excellent point! I am actually talking to a local marble and granite counter/tile installer about getting two sub enclosures finished in granite tile as opposed to wood veneer. I forgot all about adding weight to a sub to keep it from rattling. Blonde moment apparently.
