I saw that someone was dicussing about this... :p

Personally thinking, when SD is fighting against HD painfully, low prices might hurt somewhat HD but it can never be the lethal weapon. To be honest, when two different kinds of products try to win customers by low prices, the ultimate victim is customer. They might try everything.....I just cannot imagine. :D

Although some one will choose SD products pushed by the low low price, but we cannnot ensure that he will not become wealthy or not so poor. Human beings are always persuing superior things. so why doesn't him choose to be advanced?

No doubt that HD will win this war...hmmm, maybe I am too positive about the future of HD. well, you can choose what you like. I prefer HD.

I still do not own bluray (or hddvd), but when the prices of players come down, I will of course. At that point, I will probably limit my movie purchases to:
a) absolute must have catalog titles in my book (matrix, starwars and lotr when they come..)
b) big effects/animated movies that really show off the format.

For the rest I will continue to increase my dvd collection. (rarely costs me more than 7.50/movie - and my upconverting dvd + tv still gives good picture).

When prices for hd media comes down somewhat, I'll keep shifting more of my buying over to that of course.
