As I recall, back at CES in January, Warner announced they would begin release of their dual format HD DVD/BD flip disks under the 'Total HD' branding in the July timeframe. Discussion of this has been oddly silent for some time now, and it seems like we would have seen some title announcements by now if they were planning to ship any titles in the July to early August timeframe.
Does anyone know the status of this product? Is it vaporware or delayed?
I'm guessing that it was delayed, due to the delay of BD-J specs.

Both HD-DVD and Blu-ray titles will still be available via Blockbuster's mail delivery service, as both formats are from Netflix. And if you carefully study Blockbuster's Blu-ray selection, starting this fall, you'll start to see some two-sided "Total HD" flipper discs from Warner Bros. that serve up a movie in both high-def formats.

Warner's plan has always been to make it a 2nd half of 2007 release.

If this happens then Blockbuster will be carrying HD DVD titles (Warner's) in all their rental outlets whether it wants to or not!

Something else from that article
The question now is how long Universal - the only major studio exclusively in the HD-DVD camp - can hold out (on principle and contracturally) before it turns to THD discs, too.
Lets just hope they forget about it altogether.
Agreed!
