What do u guys think of the Klipsch Synergy Sub-12?

It's a good subwoofer for the price. How much can you get it for?

My understanding is that it was designed by Deon Beardon (sp?), a subwoofer guru who worked for Klipsch before going to TC Sounds.

i can get it new for like 450. does ne one kno how it works for music. i heard that its great with movies but not that great with music.

For $450 you could do much better.

It is a fantastic sub. I upgraded from a Velodyne VRP1200 about a month ago. Power wise there is no comparison between these two. While the Velodyne would shake the room, the Klipsch will shake the whole house. Great for music too. I got mine at Best Buy for $399.

This is coming from a Klipsch fanboy.

Don't buy a lower end Klipsch subwoofer. For $450 you can REALLY do better, and should look at HSU or Elemental Designs. I've owned a few Synergy subs and some reference subs, and none were worth the money paid when compared to competing products.

I got my RW-12d for $500 and that's a $700 sub. All legit and tax free with free shipping. I don't know how it holds up against the others, ie HSU SVS etc... but it does rattle my entire house and my neighbors.
