anyone seen this? its a cooling system that also adds VGA support without the need for MS vga cable. Just use any regular VGA cable.

I just got one, the ports are nothing short of excellent. But this doesn't blow air anywhere in the ball-park of the Nyko Intercooler, however if you aren't having a heat issue then this is a nice piece due to the added ports. Could save you a lot of money if you are just getting into HD or just getting a 360 as you don't need to buy those over-priced cables.

I just posted a little bit in the 3 ROD sticky thread. The 360 I have this Air Flo 360 on is running very hot, while the Nkyo unit is running almost cool. So I'm going to reverse these two coolers and see if the results flip or is it the unit itself...

This looks really nice. I was in the market for a VGA cable anyway so I may pick this one up. It doesn't void the warranty at all does it since its just usb powered, correct? $30 is worth a shot.

It doesn't cool anywhere near as well as a Nyko Intercooler if you are after that. If you aren't after that then this is a nice addition because of how the ports work, imo this is the way the 360 should have been from the factory.

The cooling design of the AirFlo seems lacking but the connection options are excellent . I would be tempted to grab one of these and cut off the cooling portion (or up the fan power with an external power supply) . They could probably offer the connection portion without the cooling fans for $25-$30 and it would sell well ;) .

Usb powered fans. Yup going to kill some 360s. They dont have enough power to draw all that heat out. And even worse. There covered up more.

This has been out in the UK under the name "Cooler King". I'd like a black one with HDMI passthrough.

This is awsome. Pelican really know how to cater to gamer. The only thing i wish is it had a hdmi port on the back :).... I wonder if they will make one for the Elite

Great idea, except maybe the USB powered fans. I think the ideal way to go is cooling fans with their own power supply.

If I was a new owner, I'd definitely consider this product.

Even the all-mighty intercooler just disturbs air flow, I wish it didn't cover up the vents and was just a jack pack. Then I'd bite.

i believe the whole unit is retailed at $29.99 which i think is a great price for what you are getting.

can it output component and vga at the same time? in 720/1080. that would rule

Yes I know and that was my point , that they could probably sell the connection portion without the cooling and still sell at about the same price ;) . Now if they offered this with an external power supply for the cooling then it would be excellent (which is why I might just buy one and mod it) .

Nope , it does 1 video output at a time , look at the switch configuration (4 options ... Composite , S-Video , Component , VGA ) .

True. But it also has 1 extra fan and isnt usb powered. It really sucks the hot air out at a rapid pace.

I prefer that USB system so you know that there isn't too much current being drawn. After all, it can't exceed what the USB is designed to deliver. The Intercooler steals whatever it needs to before the power enters the system. The fans DO NOT line up with the fans that are in the system. That means even though it is pulling hot air out of the system, it is probably doing more harm than good by blocking hot air from escaping from other corners of the system.

I have 4 friends who have 360s with the intercooler, 3 of them have had problems with their systems and still continue to use them. I have 5 other friends with 360's who use nothing except a little common sense on where to place it for proper ventilation and only 1 of them have had a problem with their system. I absolutely HATE these things. If it was just the jacks, then I'd be all for it.

My system is a launch day unit and my intercooler got it the first day it came out as well. No issues with either one. Keeps my 360 extremely cool. I take that back. My 360s thermal paste became completely dried up. Causing me to have no video. Put some AS5 on and all has been well again. I also added rubber feet at the bottom that lifted the 360 up about an inch. I will also be adding some tailsmoon fans as well. The newer EX intercoolers are made even better now. Just gotta make sure the intercooler is plugged in properly and it will work fine.

I understand your point. But once again. It goes back to usb power. There isnt enough power for those fans to benefit from anything. Making matters worse. The 360 is covered up in the back. Everyone that has these are saying it makes there 360 run alot hotter. Which is going to destroy them.

seems like a bad idea since the USB port can only handle a max of about 1-2.5 amps

now there are 4 more of them without a external power source and 2 fans probally using .02-.03 amps each

maybe just an external power source and add wireless in as well then I am sold

I'm saying that putting the intercooler on it is also covering up the back. While it may pull some heat out, the fans do not line up with anything on the system so you are going to trap some of the heat inside the case.

I don't like external fans period, but I'd rather have one that doesn't steal power away from the main components in the console. In order for your intercooler to be safe, it would have to have an independent plug-in for power straight from the wall. It would still block vents but wouldn't damage the console from underpowering it.
