My Setup:

Asus P5WDG2 Motherboard
OCZ 500w power supply
Zalman HD160XT B HTPC Case
Inter Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe Processor 2.4g, 1066 FSB, LGA775 4mb Cache
OCZ 2gb Crossfire Duel Channel memory kit
Sony 18x dual layer DVD Drive
EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express Video Card

It does not matter if I access the files directly from my hard drive or over the network.

For what it is worth, I think this might be a hardware problem as zoom player (Which I had to pay for, and I REALLY don’t like it) does the exact same thing.

This is exactly what happens:

During the movie playback, the audio and video stop

I can still mouse around, and perform one function (I can scroll over the time bar to see where I am at, right click, etc)

At that point, the software hard locks and has to be closed from the windows application manager

Reload TT, rinse and repeat about half an hour later. The exact same thing happens with Zoom Player (The most expensive version)

The only visible indication is that another Nvidia icon shows up in my bottom right status bar.

I am running MCE.

Thanks for any advice you may have, its really annoying having a 2,000 dollar DVD player that won't play DVDs...
