I read an old review written jan/05 in "secrets" on the 3910 that had something that caught my eye and was.Using the 3910 "This allows use of the DVD-3910 as a digital transport and leaves your high-end SSP or flagship receiver to handle all the processing of DVD-Audio and SACD material, eliminating the cumbersome six RCA s wondering if i read/understood this correctly. How do you guys use the 3910 ?Are you eliminating the rca's.I'm a bit confused.I just bought one and would like to know.

The 3910 has i.Link output (and DenonLink also?). i.Link can send "raw" SACD and DVD-A bitstreams to a external processor.

thanks.there was no reference to the i.link in the review so i thought it was kind of strange. What it did say it had digital transmision for multi-audio.dont know if that is the same as the i.link.

Yes, the DVD-3910 has two ways to send out DVD-Audio/SACD digitally, iLink and DenonLink3. DenonLink3 is an ethernet-type connection that connects to appropriate Denon receivers. I use DL3 to an AVR4806CI and get great results for all sound formats.
thanks i dont use a denon,i have a rotel so 5.1 analogs are appropriate for me.
