I got a IN72 and noticed a bit of dust accumulating so I hit it on one side with air duster and keyboard vaccum. I fired it up later that night and the image has a ton of dust blobs. I thought it was sealed. But if you look down into the lens (do't directly) you can see plenty of little specks. I got my IN72 as a refurbised unit so no remote or user cd came with it. I have nearly 2400 hours on my IN72 and this the only problem I have had with it, does anyone have a fix? I would rather not call in for a RMA repair since the UFC fight is coming on Saturday.

When they say "sealed optics" what they really mean is that the DMD chip is in a sealed optical chamber so dust can never accumulate on the mirrors...but that chamber has to have windows, where dust blobs can accumulate, though at least they will not be in focus. Same thing happened to me with my BenQ projector - I vowed never again to use an air can to "clean" the projector. I had to partially disassemble the PJ to get the blobs out since I could not access them through the bulb area.

Looks like I'll be sending it in to get taken care of. Man that is not the news I wanted to hear. My pj is still under warranty and I have an extended warranty as well so I'd rather be without it for a week an get it back nice and clean inside and out.
