Other than Pioneer, are there any other DVD recorder, preferrable without hd, that will allow you to burn a disc, that when inserted in another player, will not force you to go to a menu before you play any video. I want something I can record a disc and when i play it in another player, it immeditaly start play the video on the disc.

Thanks,
Scott

Most recorders should have the option to start playback at the 1st title, which is set when you finalize the disc for playback on other dvd players. The Panasonics both hdd and non, have that option.

Panasonics give you an option to either start with the first title or start with the menu. You can set which option you prefer, and it will remain set in the recorder until you change it again.
