Flash Gordon – premieres late night Saturday, August 11th at 12:15am
Starring Sam J. Jones, Melody Anderson, Max von Sydow. Directed by Mike Hodges
IIRC, the only DVD of this film is non-anamorphic, so this should be a significant improvement in quality.
BTW, this is an underrated film, you just need to be in the mood for something campy and entirely not serious. And the real star of the film is Brian Blessed.

LeMans in High Def?! I think I may have to signup for the HD package again to see the ultimate movie about motorsports. The package is generally useless (only includes UHD, HDNet and HDNet movies), but $5 for one month to archive it on my TiVo is totally worth it.

Good lineup. I haven't seen The Hunt For Red October or Starman in HD, so this will be a treat. It's also nice to see Highwaymen and LeMans getting released in HD. Both are good films.

Flash Gordon will be fun to watch in HD. I saw it in the theater back in 1980.

BTW, a big THANK YOU! for showing Escape From New York in HD. The transfer looked great.
