I just received my Infocus 4805 back from RMA.
The lamp hour counter is 0.

How can I find out whether the lamp was replaced or simply reset?
The original lamp had over 3000 hours on it.

Anyone?

Pull out the lamp and look at it... i had 3 infocus pj's and each one, the bulb at around 3k hours would show major discoloring on the housing where the opening is for the light to come out... on the last one it had been heated enough for the little glass window to fall out... if its a used bulb its easy to see...

Ask InFocus whether or not they replaced your lamp. Chances are, they did not. If the controller board was replaced during repair the lamp counter would have been reset to zero.

What does resetting the lamp do? I have one that has 1 reset on it and a bit under 900 actual hours on it.
