Hello, I have a Pioneer DVR-520H DVD Recorder with 80 GB hard drive. I've just recently started having sound issues with it where the sound cuts out for a split second randomly. I'm running sound through the optical port into an Onkyo AV receiver. I've isolated the problem to the Pioneer unit by replacing the optical cable and trying different devices in the different ports of the AV receiver. I'm not sure what could be causing this. The unit has been flawless for the last 2 yrs since I bought it. If anyone has any ideas as to what this could be or whether i'm in for a costly repair, it would be very much appreciated. Since you don't seem to be getting any educated guesses, you can do an easy test to be sure the "DST Bug" (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=846731) isn't interfering with your DVDR's ops (it affects units in mysterious ways):

1. Set clock manually.

2. Turn DST OFF.
