Hi, just got the 3250 hd box from Time Warner Cable. I have a 42" px75u plasma. Question: I want my standard 4:3 channels to be stretched. Should I go in the cable box picture settings and set it to stretch 4:3 picture or should I set it at sidebar 4:3 picture and when the 4:3 channels come on then adjust the ratio on the tv remote (to just). The reason I ask is that i tried both ways and when I set the cable box to 4:3 sidebar and adjust the ratio on the tv remote it looks better? I was wondering what other members set their to?
Thanks. :)

I would recommend you run the HDTV setup utility and allow 480i, 720p and 1080i. Then, set the cable box picture format to "pass-through" and use the TV to adjust your aspect ratios. You will still be able to use the # key on the remote to toggle the cable box a bit, but let the TV handle the stretching (IMO). It will do a better job.

You would let the HD box pass all those signals and let the TV scale ? I'm interested in the HD3250 also for it's DVI output.
