The bulb went out no my PT43LC14 and I bought a replacement and swapped them out. Now, whenever you turn on the TV, the picture comes through bright and beautiful for about 20-30 seconds, then the TV shuts itself off and the power light blinks.
The manual gives me no explanation of the error code and just tells me to contact the nearest dealer. It seems odd that the bulb would burn out at the exact same time some other crazy problem happened. I bought the bulb off ebay... could it be a sub-par bulb or something else with the bulb? And why would it come on and look great for several seconds and shut itself off? I can do it over and over and over, so it seems like if it were a heat issue, the time it would stay on after consecutive retries would get smaller, but it doesn't.
Any suggestions?
