It looked like all of the titles releasing this week were the cheaper one's. The rest were pretty expensive though.

Sales tax is high here in Tennessee, so my order cost just a shade under $50 for 3 movies. Still, this is a few bucks cheaper than Amazon would have been (even with the extra 10% off that I got in on last Fall), so I'll take a shot.

I went with Army of Darkness (the new release), Mallrats, and The Big Lebowski.

I think those 3 and Being John Malkovich are the only ones at $23.98 each.

It'll be interesting to see how quickly B&N ships.

No preorders apply that I saw on there site. 300 is not even listed because WB is holding sites until next Tuesday the 3rd of July for preorders.

It only applies to some titles that have "Free DVD Offer" logo next to it. Some of these are pre-orders (June 26 releases). Bourne Identity & Blood Diamond not eligible for offer.

I did as well. Although I also ordered Mystery Men, it didn't say which titles were delayed. All of them were technically pre-orders. I'm guessing they ran out of stock of something.

I have not recieved an E Mail but my Mallrats has not shipped. Meet Joe Black and The Big Lebowski shipped though.....Kinda odd but maybe they are out of stock now.

Weird, I ordered Mystery Men, Mallrats and Army of Darkness. They shipped Mystery Men and Army of Darkness but said that Mallrats has been delayed. Their own shopping site however says that Mallrats ships within 24 hours and Amazon says they have it in stock.

Sounds like they are lying to us to try to get us to cancel the third (free) disc. Anybody tried calling them on it?

Wow...sorry to hear about everyone's problems. I got my tracking number on Monday and "The Dude" cometh today according to UPS. Says it is out for delivery. I wish everyone else had my luck. Of course it has been a month since I ordered Coming to America from Deep Discount and still no sign of it. I guess it evens out in the end.

They sent 2 out of the 3 of mine. Mallrats is still waiting. Not sure why they are delaying some people's full orders and did not delay 2 of my titles.

I do not see the deal any longer. Looks like maybe they sold too many and stopped the deal, but I got 2 of my titles actually today when they were supposed to show up tomorrow. Mallrats has still not shipped. :confused:

I got that backorder email too. I ordered Black Snake Moan, Big Lebowski and Mallrats on Monday, only to get an email the next day stating that they were on backorder and wouldn't be shipped until July 26th. I called up this morning because all three of the titles are showing as available on their website, and the person didn't know what was going on because they are available in the warehouse. She said she would send an email to the warehouse to find out what was going on with it, and I should try calling back tomorrow.

Maybe Mallrats is the problem?

Same thing, I ordered Black Snake Moan, The Big Lebowski, and Mallrats. BSM should be here on friday, and Lebowski and Mallrats have had the "release date changed". But some of you are saying that Lebowski is the one you have shipped, which shows that this is total BS, they're just trying to get us to cancel our orders so they won't have to shell out a HD-DVD for free and not live up to the sale. I'll give them another day to sort it out before I start calling customer service and really start complaining.

This was my first order with them as well. I ordered The Big Lebowski and Mystery Men from Amazon and that order shipped out on monday. I was going to hold off on Mallrats until I came across this thread and decided to jump in. I'll gladly pay $8 for Mallrats! :D

I'm assuming that on my order, Mystery Men is in question. On the email B&N sent, that title is underlined in blue, but who knows.

It seems like they are just making stories up to everyone to get them to cancel. I am not going to cancel though. Already paid so why send the other HD DVDs back? I am just waiting it out.

Actually I didn't order Mallrats and got the same meesage. My three titles were Mystery Men, The Big Lebowski, and Black Snake Moan.

Got the backorder email but they mailed out my Meet Joe Black.

The two that were backordered are Black Snake Moan and Being John Malkovich

Funny, I talked to someone over the phone there and they went through the warehouses' inventories and all were showing as available. They said that they would send a message to the warehouse and try to get my order shipped. It could take up to 24 hours though, so I don't think I'll have mine for the weekend like planned.

I put in an order last night for Mallrats, Mystery Men, & Bulletproof with the discounts. They all shipped out today, we'll see if they're all there..

I just received Mallrats, Big Lebowski, and Black Snake Moan. I order them Monday afternoon and they shipped yesterday. A one day delivery is not bad at all. I live in Southern California by the way if anyone is wondering and the items shipped from New Jersey.

I got one day delivery as well to Texas. BUT did not get my Mallrats. I did call that and they are "updating the inventory" and I should not have to wait until July to get them they said....

I got Lebowski, Mallrats, and Meet Joe Black today. Ordered Monday afternoon and already here in Florida. Excellent service if you ask me! However it seems as though I have been the only one to have such luck.

This sucks. Mine still have not shipped. I just sent them an email. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if I had not got my order in so early. I think I was probably the second or third one on the forum to place their order.

I thought I had ordered fairly early too, and I'm also getting nothing. I wonder if they ship from differenet distribution centers, and I'm in a location where stuff got sold out.

Call them up and complain. That's what I've doing right now. I've called them for the last two days and nothing was done to fix my order. Now they're telling me it might be fixed today. I needed the items by this weekend, and if it was shipped when it was supposed to on Tuesday with the 3 day guarantee, I'd have it in time. Now I can't find the items by my house. Time to upgrade the shipping...

Remember, this isn't some rebate or small company...

Wow, had a horrible experience dealing with customer service. "Isabella" basically said I was lying about receiving the change of release date email, and lying about it still being available for sale on their site and everywhere else, and was extremely rude. After dealing with her for about 15 minutes, I got put on hold for about 5 minutes, then talked to someone who's job it seemed was to appease upset customers like myself. She explained that I probably received the email in error for the system, and that Mallrats and Lebowski hadn't been shipped for me, but had for others because they had run out of stock from previous orders. Now I don't completely buy all of that, but I got an extension and am supposed to receive a call from her within the next couple hours as to what the hell is going on over there. I've never dealt with Barnes and Noble online before, and don't think I will ever again. I would cancel, but Black Snake Moan has already shipped, and I don't want to have to go through the process of shipping that back to get a complete refund, or cancel the other 2 HDDVDs and be stuck paying almost 30 bucks for black snake.

Congrats to those that got their order with no problem, but this has been a real hassle. This is why people pay $25-$35 a disc and Best Buy...

I emailed them yesterday and today my titles show shipped.

I just realize my expected ship date reads July 26 (after reading this thread). I kept thinking it read June 26, since all three titles were released on June 26. I was thinking it was just a temporary hiccup, but its pretty lame to randomly push it off for one month.

I received Army of Darkness yesterday. The Big Lebowski comes tomorrow and who knows about Mallrats.

I think the problem is is that the majority of us ordered the same three titles.

No matter what, it was still an amazing deal. I love getting HD discs cheap!

I want my Mallrats and The Big Lebowski right now. :( I got The Meaning Of Life yesterday but he other two are pushed back. I find this whole issue to be ******** but I guess its the price you have to pay for a good deal.

I called once each day, but it hasn't shipped yet - even after talking to a supervisor. She said that they've been sending requests to the warehouse to ship the items, but the warehouse still hasn't done it even though they have stock.

I've called and talked to a supervisor as well. They claimed on Thursday that Mallrats would ship on Friday or Monday at the latest. Called today and he claimed that the weekend slowed the warehouse down, but it will ship later today or Thursday. I'll believe it when I see it....

I for one, won't be ordering from Barnes and igNoble again. Ever. Already way past the point where this was a good deal.

I won't be ordering from Bn again either. Their prices are generally pretty high and we all know how bad their service is now. I don't know if they didn't order enough titles, or what, but they should at least let us know what's going on and act like they have a clue.

My order has shipped finally, I think the key is bothering them enough where you get assigned someone to handle your transaction. I had a person calling me twice a day for 2 days with updates. And while they finally did ship it out, and really stepped up the customer service after the end, the fact is that I won't have 2 out of the 3 HD-DVD's that I ordered on last monday(released last tuesday) till this friday at the earliest. Extremely disappointed with this experience, and I won't be buying from them for the foreseeable future. But then again, I just signed up with netflix, so hopefully I won't be buying as many HD-DVD's anymore... Since I got my new sammy dlp, I've been buying hd-dvds like crazy and my wallet is really starting to hurt, lol.
