Austin Power movie free on marketplace.

got this a couple days ago, forgot to tell everyone.... heh, 480p though

This would be my first movie "rental" on Xbox Live... I have to say, were it not for the overabundant edge enhancement, Austin Powers (the movie, not the MAN, man) would look surprisingly good.

And I may not be alone in asking this, but... does the world need a third "Rush Hour" movie?

i was actually more disappointed in the stereo sound.... the hd content does look really good on the marketplace though and i am kinda surprised ms didnt fork over the extra cash to upgrade it to a hd movie to get people who never downloaded a hd movie some advertising for that service in.

HD equals 4 times the size so that much more bandwidth cost. With the southpark episode it was more cost effective because it was only 22 minutes.

Ugh, the Austin Powers SD video quality is nasty. I watched some scenes yesterday and it was rough. I guess all the HD downloads on XBLA have ruined me. :)

It's too bad it's not an HD download. I've never downoaded an HD movie (or any, for that matter) from Live. A freebee to try it out may turn me into a Live HD junkie, who knows.

I have grabbed dozens of HD trailers. How do they compare to the HD movies?

I'd say they look about the same, which is a good thing. The PQ is easier to enjoy during a movie because they aren't as hectic as the trailers.

I know HD takes alot more space to get out there but I still think as an advertising cost it would have been worth it to let mcdonalds pay the same rate and get an Hd movie out there.... a free demo for a HD movie could have sparked interest in getting more down the line (esp when you compare it to bluray/hd-dvd as it compares very well imo). But we got one of the worst looking films out there so if anything peoples views of the video marketplace are worse now than they were.

Just look at this post in this thread..... I really think had people tried a HD movie they would be getting more (cant say the same about their SD contnet)
