I have an 18 month old Mit WD-52527 I may have had a power surge however I do have it plugged into a filter.
The green power led flashes rapidly for about 45 seconds - stops for 45 seconds - then flashes for another 45 seconds. The fan comes on for about half of the 45 seconds of flashing. I tried the diagnostic (MENU/DEVICE for 5 seconds) I recieved no special flashing during the flash or outside of it. If I press the power button just after the flashing stops - the power light lights and the screen starts to brighten - but shuts down with the flashing after a few seconds.

Please Help - I am experienced enough to take the TV apart and have the service manual but it has not been a help with the diagnoses. :confused:
