HBO HD is showing the movie "Swimming Pool" at 12:30am tonight (technically Wed morning). I've seen it before on DVD and thought it was very enjoyable. I look forward to seeing it in HD.

I think the movie is 1.85:1 so they can't butcher it. Worth a record just to FF to a few scenes. :) It's not a bad movie, too.

I note that it is the "R" version tonight. Maybe I need to get a copy of the unrated version. :)

Not very often do you see full frontal in movies these days. Got to love a young actress like Ludivine Sagnier who isn't afraid to sacrifice for her art.

As for the presentation the picture quality was pretty good but nothing special.

The story itself is not too shabby either...

NICE, I haven't seen it yet, but just did a google search for her. Looks like a great actress!

They've shown this on Starz constantly since its release (years now). The transfer is absolutely perfect.

The Starz presentation was an up-conversion, but it did look very good. I recorded the HBO showing and will see how it looks compared to the Starz showing.

MikeNot when I saw it. It might have been SD initially, but I caught it many times and I know for certain it was HD. They do this with a lot of movies, where they start it in rotation in SD then put in HD later.
