I hope someone here can help me. My Infocus SP5000 is having a problem with its fan. The projector is still working and shows a picture, but the fan is acting very weird. In the past, when the projector is first turned on and also when it starts to heat up, its fan would go into "high speed mode" and spins at a high speed. Now, the fan can not do that anymore. It still try to spin up but then slows down immediately as if it couldn't sustain the high speed. The projector would then try to spin up the fan several more times but each time the fan would slow down. After some time, the projector would auto shutdown because of overheating (I guess fan in quiet mode can't dissipate heat fast enough).

I have already attempted the following things, Reset to factory default in the menu, clean filter, re-seat lamp, re-seat power plug. None of those helped. Infocus is asking for over $400 to fix the problem. Is there anything else I could try??
