Please help me clarify this isssue with the upconversion of this TV .....
According to Samsung website it says that this TV (HL-S6767) will upconvert any lower resolution to a 1080p (I'm sure using HDMI).....so, if this statement is correct this means that if you use any DVD player besided HD or BlueRay it will upconvert to 1080p, Right???? ...... I'm using a Sony DVP-NS75H, this upconverts to 1080i, and when I push the Info buttom in the remote it shows 1920x1080i@60Hz ????? ..... Is this correct???? .... Isn't supposed to show 1920x1080p because the TV upconversion?????

I'm a little confuse, Please help ...... Or using a BlueRay or HD the only way to get 1080p on this TV ..... that's not what they advertise.

What player do you use????? ...... What it shows on the screen when you push the info buttom????? ...... Thank's to all.

Your display will automatically scale all inputs to 1080p. The info you are looking at is the resolution of the input, not the display. But bear in mind that an SD signal scaled to 1080p will never be as good as a true 1080p signal such as an HD broadcast or BD/HD-DVD.

Thank You for your reply ... this make me feel better. I don't know why the people at Samsung customer support don't explain this .... or maybe they don't know :) :) :) .... I'm waiting for the right moment to get an HD DVd or BR (hopefully before the end of the year) .....
