Greetings--First post here after lurking for awhile....

We have decided on a Samsung 52 LCD (LNT5265F) and while collecting prices from a local store (BB), the salesperson could not find the SKU in the store inventory and was told that Samsung is "about to come out with a replacement for this model" and thus they are not replenishing store inventory.

As we want(ed?) this unit, I am trying to see if anyone hear has heard anything like this? Any news or rumors about a new model?

Related info if anyone knows: how long has the LNT5254F been out or how would I find out? Also, is it better to stay away from a newly issued model due to bugs and problems (like new software) or does Samsung at least have a good track record of launching troublefree models?

Hello and welcome to the forum, you'd be better off asking questions about displays in the proper display section, this section as noted is not for displays. Some searching on that model number in the Flat Panel section should turn up plenty of info on it. Good luck on your search.
