Why isn't anyone discussing this??? when blu ray started with their terrible 5th element transfer the there was bunch of them going on here. Are most here really love the format so much that they can look past all these horrendous recent movies from universial?? Forget blockbuster, Sony and the rest of the news.
Universals lack of quality transfers will hurt us even more, hd dvd had going for it was consistent great transfers and Universal which is the biggest backer of hd dvd is just not putting effort in their releases. I only saw a couple of the hd dvds to see how bad they looked and they don't even compare with blu ray's terrible 5th element. Pretty much all of their releases past few months have been getting less then good reviews while Sony has really stepped up their game with new blu ray transfers.
"this HD DVD version appears to be another one of the studio's recent rehashes of an old master -- there doesn't appear to have been much care or concern put into upgrading this one for high-def." - High def digest
