I recently purchased this TV and for some reason, whenever I have my cablecard inserted, the the TVs fan will not go off completely. It will stay on 24/7 if the cablecard remains inserted. I am guessing this is normal. Is there anyway to stop this?

Why would you want to do this? You have to realize that this was the intended operation, so why try to circumvent it?

But, with that said...I agree that the fan noise in this TV is intolerable, and it is to bad that JVC, and other manufacturers have chosen to ignore, or just don't understand the science supporting the concept of a noise floor. :rolleyes:
