Hi everyone,

I'm installing a custom home theater w/ audio distribution system in a clients house and he has expressed an interest in installing "force feedback" chairs. I've done a little research on the topic and found that the D-Box stuff is the only real gear on the market that has film specific downloadable content. For an anything goes theater this does look really cool, and I found the 340C controller going for 2000 on ebay right now (seems complete).

My question, what other parts are necessary, other than the chairs to get this thing up and running.

Also, has anyone tried these things, are they as fun as everyone says?

I don't want to pitch this upgrade to him unless I know what I'm getting into.

You could always go with some Berklines with Buttkickers on them. The Berklines are a very comfortable and popular home theater style chair. I have the Buttkickers attached to mine and they are amazing. They hook up to your existing receiver and anytime bass is produced the chairs vibrate. It sounds somewhat gimmicky, but it is amazing in person. If you are interested you could check out Romans website...he does a lot of business here on the forums...his website is www.rtheaters.com
