Hey, I ordered a few movies from Xploited Cinema just over two weeks ago and am still waiting for my order to arrive. I'm wondering how long it took to ship the discs to anyone else who has ordered from them in the past.

I guess it's also worth noting that I live in Canada so I suspect that there might be some delays with customs. I understand that things take time, but I really need a new movie to watch! :) Thanks.

USA-CANADA mail has been SLOOOOOW lately.

I had an HDDVD ship from DVDPACIFIC on May the 18th, and it arrived at my house (in Canada) on June 19th.

It wasn't intercepted by customs, either.

I've also had other packages take similar time frames crossing the border (about a month)

So if it's only been 2 weeks, I'd say you're probably only half way into waiting.

As many others have said in past threads, Tony's service is second to none. If there is a delay it's the postal service. If there was any delay or problem on Tony's end, he'd tell you right away. Tony is the Nordstom's of niche/imports dvd/hd-dvd. ;)

Hey,

I just received an HD-DVD from them to Canada and it took just over 2 weeks to get here... there was some mention of Sweden on the package, so it may have been drop-shipped from there.

I was expecting a search reprimand and the subsequent lock on this thread. :p

BTW, from my experience, Tony will ship your order same day. He really is on top of his business.

I just recieved an order that took 3 weeks. They did not use a Company neame on the package and put a gift value of $19 sticker on it but Canada Post intercepted it and opened it. This probally delayed delivery and got dinged for a value of $75 relulting in a $9.50 charge for GST/Duty. Perhaps shipment from them have been flaged to be checked.

Typically mine take about 2 weeks cause i just get the cheap shipping. I've never gotten dinged for duty yet. The day I do will probably be the day I stop ordering (these discs are already expensive enough).

Tony deserves all the threads he gets...nice person and great service. Now I think I would pull my hair out if it was another "when will LOTR's be released?" thread. ;)

Seriously though.....most of my search results take 30 secs without magic or CGI effects from skywalker ranch...so the old saying goes, if someone as simple minded as I can do it...the other member can as well. :D

I live in Vancouver and I just received my order as well. It took about 3 weeks, and it was also opened by customs (they even slit open the shrink wrap on my T2 disc!). However I guess I was lucky and didn't have to pay any duty. I'd order again for sure, however I'd probably pay a little extra to have it shipped by courier. Shipping without a tracking number makes me nervous. :)

Tony is top notch. He has shipped my orders the same day. One was ordered at 9 am and shipped at 10:30am the same day. All my imports will be bought though him even if he isn't the cheapest. I'm loyal the the death to a great company that takes care of their customers and puts them first. Tony does just that.

I finally pulled the trigger on Stalingrad from XC. I ordered later in the Monday and had a ship notice Tuesday morning.

That's just unnatural. But good! :)

It shipped same day, actually the next day, because I ordered on a Sunday but thats not the point. I wasn't so much asking about his service, because I paid and within maybe 2 hours, I got an email telling me it would ship that Monday.

I made this thread to more or less see how long it takes for the U.S. postal service to send it to Canada. I guess I should have phrased it a little better.

My HD DVD order from Tony was shipped on the 5th June and it arrived in Australia on the 26th June. It had the Sweden post mark on it.

I also had a HD DVD order ship from DVD Pacific on the 25th May which also arrived on the 26th June, that also had the Sweden post mark on it.

It seems both companies are using the Sweden method for international deliveries, hence the delays.

Well, at least I know that this seems to be the standard amount of time to get things to ship. I am just so used to Amazon being here in around a week or so or going to pick up a disc at Futureshop.

I also live in Vancouver and ordered T2 & Total Recall HD DVDs fm Xploited.

When it has been two weeks after I got the email confirmation that it has been shipped and yet not having received it, I emailed Tony regarding my concern. He, within 30 mins, responded to my email stating to hopefully wait a little bit longer since it may be that customs has it. But he did mention to email him back if 14 days has elapsed and I still haven't gotten the dvds.

True enough, customs did check the package which caused the delay but the HD-DVDs came in great condition.

Xploited's customer service is second to none. Absolutely reliable!!!!

Shipping from Amazong shipping centre in Mississauga to my location (Markham) is currently taking about 2 weeks :(

My experience with amazon is that they ship on Monday and I usually receive it by Friday (the same week), and I live in Whitby. However, there was one occasion when it took 17 days. Ironically, I am still awaiting an order that was shipped on June 17th. I have also ordered from exploited in the past and it usually take about three weeks to a month to arrive.

Anyway, Amazon orders taking two weeks when they ship from Mississauga (to Markham) is just plain inexcusable!!! Canada Post Eh!!

I've used xploited 3 times now with a average wait time of 3 days.but that's in the US.
9 HDDVDs 1 DVD so far with plans of buying more. By far the best service I've ever used.

Then "Xploited Cinema" is a weak thread title if that is what you wanted to know.

Are you guys using the el cheapo shipping to Canada? If so, then it's Canada Customs / Canada Post to blame. I order from Tony and ALWAYS use the quicker method via Fed Ex. He ships either the same day or the next morning, and I get the package the very next day. And that's to Vancouver, Canada!

I would rather pay a few bucks more to have my HD DVDs within 2 days as opposed to weeks to a month.:)

Any charges on delivery? I was not impressed with the 9.50 I was charged on 3 discs.

I just ordered my first imports from Xploited.

Just a conjecture about why Canadian Customs may be delaying the shipment, they are prob looking for pRon. With the "X" in Xploited doesn't help, if thats on their shipping label. Just guessing since this is my 1st order from them so I don't know what is on the shipping label, I hope it don't take over a month since I live in Canada also. But then the two movies I ordered are not available on HD DVD and may never be released here in HD DVD (Underworld: Evolution and Equilibrium), so I guess waiting will just make it more exciting when they arrive.

Tony is great! And his warehouse is only a 25 minute drive from my home! Haven't tried to order and pick up yet though.

I have bought a few HD DVD movies from xploitedcinema. They arrived within a few days. I love the site, I'll just be glad when they get more import HD DVD movies. I did send them an email, and they assured me that they would be getting more imports around the end of August. Mr. and Mrs. Smith is the next import movie they are soon to receive.

So far I've bought about 8 titles from Xploited and everything went through very smooth. Had my items shipped next day and received them about a day or two after. Mr and Mrs. Smith will be my next pick up and then hopefully The Island.

I have twice ordered from Xploitedcinema and both times I got my Hd DVD's within 3 days of availability. And I live in California. I have been treated in a professional manner and highly recommend them. Their communication is fast and friendly. In my opinion, a top notch seller.
