:) I have Direct Tv HR-20 DVR, Yamaha 661 receiver, Tosh A2 HD DVD, xbox 360 and Tosh 65HM167 DLP.....and too many remotes!!!!!!!

I an computer lirerate but I would like something that is fairly easy to set up and can run these devices, nothing special. This is my first move into HT and universal remotes and I have tried RC Forum and althogh a lot of infromation but limited help there. I am new at this and I can understand. I have looked at the 670, 676 or 880 and wreally need some recommendations from experienced users.

Thanks :D

I have a 676 that worked great with the HR20 until now. I think I've actually worn out a few of the buttons.

The only functions I couldn't duplicate were any that required holding one of the original remote's buttons rather than just pushing them. These would be like slow-motion (hold "play") or jump to bookmark (hold "ff" or "rw"). I probably could have programmed those as soft keys and had the Harmony learn them, but I never bothered.

I think my remote is likely out of warranty, but would have no problem buying another 676 to replace this one.

Doesn't matter as far as programming goes, so based strictly on button layout and style (as it pertains to easy PVR use), I would go with the 670 first, 676 a close second and 880 third.

Costco.com is selling the 720 for $150, including shipping, if you are a member.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11121630&search=Harmony&Mo=6&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=0&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=Harmony&Ntt=Harmony&No=4&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1

It has a totally different design from the peanut shaped models so you can check it out to see if you like it. The official thread on the 720 in this forum has a good picture of it in the first post.

There is also a review here if you want to check it out:

I have bought two of these so far so I might be able to answer any questions you might have.

Another member has mentioned in another thread that the 720 should also be in Sam's Club (but not currently shown on their website).
