I have the same glitches on my Superman Returns disc. The flying scene is a lock-up, skipping nightmare. Is it worth sending to Warner to exchange or are they all going to be like that?

I was hesitant because of time it would take but after getting four defective copies from Fry's I decided I had to do it. They even sent a letter of apology. BTW I used a large post it and described the problem with the disc and the player I was using, I am not sure if that helped but I was not contacted. http://www2.warnerbros.com/main/hel...vd_help.html#15 17. I want to test my copy. thalazy 06-28-07, 11:15 AM There really isn't a true time lockup but it happens either in chapters 18-20 for most people. Goatse 06-28-07, 11:16 AM apparently combos have tons of problems of sd/hd side separating. SamwisetheBrave 06-28-07, 06:13 PM No problem with my Netflix rental except for the film... :p Nics1246 06-28-07, 08:19 PM No problem with my Netflix rental except for the film... :p I thought it was a good film. Not the most action packed movie but it had enough sprinkled throughout. mdgue 07-25-07, 01:10 AM The first two from Best Buy were bad. When I went to exchange for the third time I examined all the remaining copies they had to see if there was anything on the case to indicate a different batch. All bar code numbers were the same. The one thing that was different was the sticker on the front. The one that indicates it's a DVD and HDDVD. The ones I had the problems with the label was black. There were others with a silver label, so I gave one a try. It works. Might be something to check if you return. Could have been dumb luck. UCFKevin 07-25-07, 01:23 AM The rooftop scene SUCKED when I first got it and the player, took like five minutes to get thru thirty seconds. After the latest firmware, however, it plays flawlessly. As does everything else now. youknowryan 07-25-07, 02:04 AM I have the same glitches on my Superman Returns disc. The flying scene is a lock-up, skipping nightmare. I am running firmware 2.3 I have prepared a package to exchange it at Warner. I asked for the Blu-ray version or the non-combo version in return. we'll see what happens. price3 07-31-07, 08:58 AM I exchanged mine with Amazon back when it first came out. I'm sure they were both from the same batch, but the second one worked perfectly. It is the only problem I have ever had wih my A2, and it wasn't even the players fault. |
