Hello,

I currently have a Harmony 1000 remote, and while it's not perfect, I have decided it is just too "clunky" for channel surfing and the like and find myself barely using it. I'm looking at replacing it with either an 890 or 890 Pro. I have a reciever, dvd, cd, and media server hidden in a closet. I would also like to try out some ZWave lighting (which I'm kinda pissed my 1000 doesn't do...).

So, what are the major differences between the regular and Pro 890 models?

What are good retail prices for each?

Thanks!

Rick,

Were you one of the gentleman who emailed me for that file?
The important difference besides aesthetic color and some beeping sounds is that the 890 comes w/ the IRF unit and the 890 Pro does not. The 890 Pro is more expensive.

The 890 Pro is also supposed to be through installers. If you need tech support the normal Harmony support line has had issues in the past, b/c the software while mostly similar is updated differently.
