What's up all,
Not sure if this is the area to post this...
I am having some really bad display problems with my new Verizon FIOS installation and am not sure if it is the box, the cable coming into the house the cable outside, splitters...etc.
I have a 61'' Sammy DLP so I can the problems pretty easily.

I am see in some 1 in. by 1 in. pixelated squares when the piture moves really fast (ie watching a baseball game and it camera follows the ball).

This is on my HD stations too....There are some other issues like blurriness on the non-HD and rainbow outlines on some of the pics...but I figure if the rest gets fix that might also.

I am not sure if anyone can answer this by my description...But right after Verizon installed the FIOS it was GREAT (installed it about 3 weeks ago)..No complaints (except for the installers)...But recently the quality is crap. Not sure if it the broadcast of the station or something at Verizon or it is my setup (cables, splitters, the box...etc)

I also have a cable card installed on the same TV as my HD DVR box (for PiP) and that seems to have the same problem...Which makes me think that it has to do with the "cable"...either inside or outside.

Any suggestions?
Thanks very much in advance!

"Any suggestions?"

Call Verizon, let them check out their equipment and the signal level to your TV.

Ok, Verizon tech came out last week...Said my signal levels are perfect.

I think I figured out the problem though.

I set the "4:3 override" to "stretch" a couple of weeks ago...I turned it off last night and it seems to have improved the pic even on the HD channels that we giving me the problem.

I tried use the 480p override, but it makes my TV go nuts when I go from an HD channel to a non-hd channel...So I guess I am stuck with the 4:3 content. The comcast box that I had before never did that...I had it on 4:3 override = 480p and it worked just fine...But that was a different model number (same box though).

Does anyone know if I have a defective box or is that just what the Verizon boxes do?

Thanks!
