Hi,

I have a Panasonic 50" 60u Plasma hooked up to my PS3 via HDMI with audio going to my Yamaha 5960 receiver via optical. My tv will accept 1080p via HDMI and display it at its native 768p resolution.

For upscaled DVD, what should I have it set on? I am not sure what the difference between Full, Normal, and Double are.

Should I just set the PS3 to send only 720p? It seems that this will eliminate many of the problems that we are seeing in such games a R6V.

Also, what effect will Full RGB and Deep white have on my set?

Set upscaling to Full
Set PS3 to 1080i so Blu-ray movies won't play at 480P but 720P games will work fine
I don't know about RGB full/Superwhite and your display

If I set it at 720p, will Blu Ray movies play at 480p? That doesn't make any sense!

I'd suggest doing the eye test. Test it on both 720p and 1080p, and see what looks better to you.

Your right, but currently the PS3 cannot play Blu-rays at 720p only 480P,1080i and 1080P.

The ps3 can play blu-ray at 720p. It was added with the 1.8 update.

I remembered that after I posted. My bad.
