I've had my TV for about 9 months now and love it. I've played around with different source inputs and different resolutions. I have my TV out 720p for HD. My PS3 outputs 720p for HD as well. However, if I watch a blueray movie I change the PS3 from 720p to 1080i.

Our screens are at 768... that's more then 720p and less then 1080i. If we set out inputs to 720p our displays upconvert that to 768. If we set out inputs to 1080i our displays downconvert that to 768.

Either way, our display is going to upconvert or downconvert.

From what I've learned on here, it's best to let the source output it's natural resolution that way the signal is only processed by the TV. If say, your PS3 is set to output at 1080i but the game is at 720p, first the PS3 will upconvert the output to 1080i, and then your TV will downconvert it to 768 (2 conversions and not better then 1).

But I want to see what most of you guys are doing with your resolutions specific to this display. Do you put everying in at 1080i, 720p, or vary by source?

Edit: Sorry on the model number in the title... it's supposed to be 50PH9UK. It's late... I need some sleep :)
