I have narrowed my selection down to the three 50" TVs below. I am more concerned about picture quality than anything else, but do not want to spend anymore than $2000 Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. I tried to put links, but I don't have enough posts, sorry.
Thanks,
Erik

If PQ is your main concern then I'd stretch a little and get Pioneer PDP-5070HD.
If you can't do that than my pick is Samsung.

For me, the PQ is the main reason I'd take the Samsung. It's just more true to life IMHO

Who is still selling PDP-5070 and does anyone know what kind of price they can be bought for?

They have them on Amazon for $2500. I also found them for $2000 at Pricemad Does anyone have any experience with Pricemad? Are they a reputable company?

Be careful about posting prices it is highly discouraged on the board.

The Sam 64 and the Pan 600 series got a good reviews on Cnet, just a bit better I think than the Pan 75 series.
The Pan 600U is last years model in a silver fram style finish

The Pan 75 is a 2007 model in black frame, http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-and-plasma/panasonic-th-50px75u/4505-6482_7-32317310.html?ar=o&tag=pdtl-list
Cnet likes the Sam 64 series, says it is worthy or being condsidered with PIO...PAN...and now Sam...

You could probably be happy with any of the 3......all are solid choices
I would take the Sam 64....then the Pan 75....then the Pan 600 as you have them listed.
Since all 3 are 50", what do your own eyes tell you ? At the end of the day, after all the facts and opinions are in your head........it's your eyes that tell you which one you like.........go with that one and enjoy

The PANTH50PX600 is a very good television. Then again it all comes down to personal preference would check out all three models and then make your decision on what you like the most.

I'm in the same boat as you, except I have to wait at least a month before getting one (I'll get graduation money on August 3). If they're all the same price, then I would probably go with the Sammy (personally I'll probably get either the 5054 or 5064). They've gotten really good reviews, and depending on who you ask they are touted as being better than the Pannys.
If you have a brightly lit room with a lot of light reflection, then you might want to check out the Panny TH-50PX77U. It's supposed to have the best anti-glare screen of any plasma. The Panny 600U is last year's model, and I would only get that if it were a decent price savings over the others.

Now I am starting to lean towards the PDP-5070HD. While at the store last night I did notice that the Pioneer displays seemed to have the best picture.

It's difficult to compare the sets in the store, because they're probably not set up correctly. They might also set up the Pioneers better so that people are drawn to the more-expensive sets.
I'd recommend using Zippy's settings (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=841319&page=1&pp=60) for the Sammy and D-Nice's settings (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=731242) for the Pio. That should put the two sets on a level playing field.

You did not mention the Pioneer at the beginning....so Neither did I to answer directly
My personal pick over the 3 you listed would be the 5070
I have the other 50" Pio Elite 1140 model insted of the 5070.....wow picture....no complaints....
