Well I guess ign.com (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/800/800565p1.html) loves this exclusive title - they gave it a 9.3 score. Slowly but surely top notch games are being released for the PS3.

I'm thinking the same thing here. I might wait until it's $30 or something (although that will be a while), but since I've beaten this game four or five times already a graphical upgrade isn't convincing enough for me to spend $60.

We already knew this was a great game. Scores aren't surprising given it's basically a new coat of paint on an already great game.

The thing that bothered me about the demo was the TEARING. Since they didn't mention it, I'm guessing it got fixed. That was the big issue for me. I can't stand tearing. I can deal with jaggies or subpar graphics.

When turning the camera, most often when it hits a solid object like the ground, the screen about 1/4 down slits for a few frames then corrects itselff.

Makes it appear like the screen was torn in half, like 1/2 the screen didn't move, the other moved as normal.

It's only for like a 1/2 sec when it happens. it's noticable, but doesn't bug me.

Did they fix it?

ninja gaiden is a GREAT game, made that much better now that it's finally in the next gen space. a must buy

Sold like a rock in Japan! Its a great game that has always deserved more than it got in credit. It was not a HUGE seller on the Xbox either. The reviews spent so much time telling people how hard it was it scared away consumers even though they scored it so well.

Anyone who has not played the XBox version should at the very least give it a rent.

it sold over 46k in the first week and is still in the top 20 for the second week. i wouldn't call that bad.

well, c'mon, how could it possibly be bad? ninja gaiden was awesome, so it's not like this could possibly suck; i consider gaiden to be the pinacle of the xbox

after checking the ign review it feels pretty meh to me; play as rachel? well, i really hated her axe, and how can she even see over those humongous bosom? is there a first person view where you have to look out between cleavage? ok, JK

how many times can you release a game? they already did one re-release, this is a bit excessive, but if indeed the next NG is going to be xbox only this could be their nod to sony

that being said, if you have a ps3, and you haven't played it, you just have to; of course this will be the best version, and the game rocked from day1; though it will kick your ASS

Awesome game however I traded my Xbox copy some time ago and yes it was mostly the difficulty that annoyed me (at least after the battle with Alma) however it was pretty fun and I may end up buying it all over again after the demo on PS3 I would just like the option to play the original games to not be tied to finding those gold bugs, I dont think this ver has them anyways though

I enjoyed the demo to an extent, and seeing all the respect the game in all iterations gets, I'll eventually be picking it up.

The game will be good, but asking $60 for a remake of a 3 year old game is a bit much. This game should be no more than $40 retail. They even have a collectors edition for $70. At those prices, I will have to pass. I'll pick it up whenever it hits the bargain bin.

So how much more game are we getting in thbis version? I loved the original version on the xbox but I need alot more to buy again.

That's exactly what I'll do. It was quite satisfying to beat the Xbox game, and it'll definitely be worth revisiting in high-def, though not at a $60 price point.

But yes for anyone who did not play Ninja Gaiden on XBox (Only a small % did from sales) you shoudl look this game over.

I saw the original on the Xbox and read a lot of complaints about how hard it was. They then came out with an update that allowed you to play it on easy or something like that, added more potions, etc. Will that option be available in the PS3 version?

Oh Yeah, this is a must have for those that played the original! Im just wondering how much more content this version contains? I never understood why people claimed it was so hard, you dont want to beat it in two days. Once you reach a cetain point in the game you have to spend alot of time collecting points in order to upgrade all your weapons and abilities. This means going back and fighting the same badies over and over again before
moving on to the next level. I found that the sewers were a good place to collect points.

I just thought about this and I am a hypocrite. :D I wouldn't buy this remake for full price (already beat the original) but if SE released a remade Final Fantasy VII with no new content, I would pick it up day one for $60 and smile all the way home. Maybe the fact that more time has passed between the original and the remake or maybe it is just because I am a FF zealot.
