Hi All,

I just bought this player but the PC doesn't see it as external storage. The unit powers up reading 'USB is on'. I have tried setting the drive jumpers to 'single master'.

The jumpers came in this configuration I::I

I have tried various other jumper configs without success as I dont know exactly what brand of disk is in the unit without removing it and voiding the warranty.

Can you help?

Thanks in advance

Have you formatted the internal HDD? What is happening in windows? Any message? Try plugin to different USB ports of your PC

I had the same thing happen to me. When they ship the unit with the hard drive they did not format it. The computer would see the drive but you could not do anything with it.

Try going into the computer management and format the disk. That should work.

make sure you don't format it as a dynamic disk - otherwise only way the PC will see the drive is if it's directly attached via IDE to the PC (won't see it in USB mode).

Hi All- thanks for the help.

I was able to format the drive in CM and now all is well.

You're a hell of a lot better than TVIX support!
