Hey guys. So within a month or so I am going to be picking up a 42" Olevia LCD TV as I wait out the newer model.
What I am looking for is some kind of set up that I can run my dvd player, ps3 soon here, the tv and or cable box, and my pc's audio split off to also.
I dont know exactly what I am looking for, but I dont want to throw tons of money at it either. Its just not in the budget. But id think even something low end would be a great improvement over my old crappy shelf system. The main thing I have going now is that I run RCA outputs from my dvd player, and from my PC's sound card to the shelf system, so I at least get better audio over those components.
Its a 2 main speaker setup, with 2 satellites that dont work anymore, so I am not too picky on using 2.1 or 5.1, just something that will take ALL of my inputs, and be upgrade over what I currently use.
Is this possible within a couple hundred dollars? And I sort of mentioned it before, I will have a dvd player already, a phillips dvp 5982, so I dont need a system with one.
So I need something I can run RCA from my PC, do I run audio out from the TV or the cable box to what ever system i get? Then audio from the PS3 and DVD player. The cable box to TV will be HDMI (or component if im running tv audio elsewhere), as will the dvd player so it can upconvert.
