I have been confused the past week when i seen/heard HDMI 1.3a.Is HDMI 1.3a New and just released, cause HDMI 1.3 should be the latest right?,and do they release a new HDMI version every year?.It was one of the latest Onkyo Reciever's that showed it had HDMI 1.3a.

SiliconImage is the main driver behind the HDMI spec and in order to differentiate their products from everyone else's they keep adding new features to the spec every so often. Luckily backward compatibility is maintained.
