Hey guys, I just received my Harmony 880 about a week ago, so I'm a newbie with this remote. I know it's not the best or most sturdy remote out there, but it fits my needs perfectly.

Anyways, is there a way to have my DVD player tray eject automatically during the "Watch DVD" activity? Usually I don't already have the movie that we are going to watch in the tray, so it would be a nice extra feature to have it automatically open. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you!

You add the command. I'm at work though so I can't exactly tell you which screen it is to add it...but you can do it. Hopefully someone else will see this before tonight. If not, I will update later.

I'm trying to do the exact same thing. Actually, I've done it. The problem I'm having is that on my machine, you hit eject once to open it, again to close it. When I add the command to open it, it opens the door and closes it immediately...like it's receiving a second eject command. I've tried turning down the repeats...all the way down to zero and it still does the same thing. Does anyone have any ideas? I looked at the slow respond sticky...that's where I found the repeat options. Suggestions?

Find the Activity.

- Click Troubleshoot.
- Choose "No, I want to change these settings."
- Run through the guided setup again.
- Chose "Yes, but I want to add more control of options and devices for this Activity."
- Click "Save"
- Run through the guided setup again!
- Add actions to the start or end of the Activity.

Yeah...what he said! :D

Sorry I didn't get back sooner...long night last night! Anyway, I do wanna add that I fixed my eject command issue and you may want to do this also or your player may act the same way. After you add the eject command, somewhere in there you will see a screen where it has a prompt to "change options" choose that and the next screen will show a "play on enter" line, under that choose the "do not send play" prompt and save it. Then go through the motions to get back to your activities screen and update your remote. I got this tip off of the logitech.com remote forum and it worked perfectly!

Good Luck!

Thank you very much guys, you've been a great help! I haven't had the time to set it up yet, but I'm sure it will work. Thanx again!
