Today, I was looking around on my ondemand section of Comcast cable and I noticed that they have added The Illusionist, to the Starz HD section and I was wondering if anyone heard what side, if any, the Yari Film Group is leaning towards in the format war? I would love to see The Illusionist on Blu-ray! It is one of Edward Norton's best movie and easily rivals The Prestige. Does anyone else wan't to see this title released in high definition?

A quick search shows The Illusionist SD DVD as released by Fox, which means it's a Blu-ray title as things now stand. Loved the movie and yes, I'd buy it on Blu-ray in a heartbeat.

This is one of several titles that Fox could and should have released on Blu-ray (prior to taking their vacation of course). The Illusionist, Barat, Little Miss Sunshine.

Studios need to realize that ordinary titles must be released day-and-date in order to have much value. When Fox finally gets around to releasing these on Blu-ray, they will not be worth much.

Haven't seen The Illusionist but have heard good things about it. Would definitely pick up a BD version if one were released. Not sure how this movies compares to it, but I loved The Prestige.

Although I liked The Prestige, like milit, I enjoyed The Illusionist even more. Highly recommended.

Notes on a Scandal and The Last King of Scotland were also given the BD shaft when they debuted.

Nah, I'll pass; don't think I could handle seeing that movie with all its yukky things displaying in hi-def.
