My netflix que is loaded with Blu-Ray titles.

Recently, I noticed that many of them all of a sudden have waiting periods attached to them and ones that already had waiting periods, now appear to have LONGER wait times.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Could this be a sign of increased interest in Blu?

We did have an awful lot of Blu-Ray news this past month.

I am not seeing it, I only have ~25 BDs in my queue at Netflix, all but one are available now.

Ooh, the Patriot is on its way!

Really? The Patriot says "short wait" on mine.

These are the ones I have that have wait times on them.

A Scanner Darkly (long wait)
Blood Diamond (short wait)
Ghost Rider (long wait)
Black Snake Moan (very long wait)
Bridge to Terabithia (very long wait)
The Patriot (short wait)

Well, that would be the reason, I have already received everything in that list that I wanted to watch and don't have any of the others in my queue.

FWIW my 'short wait' title is Apocolypto.

Recently?

Because I'm talking about the past couple weeks, not since inception.

I've noticed the same thing actually. Blu-ray movies used to always be available or short waits, but now a lot of them are long waits. I guess there is a downside to Blu-ray being so popular ;)

I have long waits on pretty much everything:

Apocalypto (Long Wait (BD))
Letters from Iwo Jima (Long Wait (HD))
Hannibal Rising (Very long wait (SD))
Ghost Rider (Long Wait (BD))
Breach (Long Wait (HD))
Blood Diamond (Very Long Wait (HD))
Crank (Now (BD))

I'm beginning to think my $18 a month may be better off used somewhere else.... You'd think with all of this demand, they'd get more discs. It took me over 2 months just to see Prestige, and 3 for Casino Royale.

BB isn't any better -- i'm better off using that for DVDs. Half the time they send me the wrong discs anyway
