Someone last week posted the info for mjenterprises blu ray specials. I picked up Apacalypto and Black Hawk Down. Ordered last wednesday and recieved today. Not bad for media mail.

On each of my blu rays there is a white sticker on it that says "Wal Mart"

Odds are that mjentertainment simply purchases excess stock from retailers (hence the good deals they offer on Blu-Ray discs) which also explains why the discs I received from them today all contained Wal-Mart stickers on them, and the discs I received from them before had Best Buy stickers stuck on them.

I've heard of several companies that do this, and everything seems to point to mjentertainment doing this, instead of selling "stolen goods..."

I don't know if this is related, but I went into a Wal-mart today south of Seattle that used to have Blu-ray and HD DVD discs and I couldn't find any. I asked a clerk if they carried Blu-ray and he said that they don't anymore. Somebody was waiting so I didn't ask about HD DVD, but from what I could see the store doesn't carry either one anymore. They could move these discs to other Wal-marts that are expanding their selections, return them to a distributor, sell them off on the secondary market, etc.

I also asked from a couple of Walmarts in my area and they also told me the same thing.

OP: you ought to be more careful about how you phrase your questions and your words. I believe that you have possibly slandered, correction libeled (as it is in writing) this MJ whatever business, on a public forum  .

The question mark in the header makes it a question, so I am asking if it is possible, not claiming that this is what they are doing. Nothing wrong with that.

I was in Wal mart on Sunday and picked up Apacalypto. Their selection was small, so maybe they are phasing them out.

You really ought to tone down the title. Although you are asking a question, to the casual reader there is a clear insinuation that they are running a shady outfit to which I have seen no evidence posted.

I believe the rumors you are talking about are based on one or two people who were wondering aloud as to how they could sell new disks cheaper than anyone else and still make money.

Most likely Alan hit the nail on the head and they are just buying cheap retail overstock and bulk media from retail store closings and the like. This also explains why they have one copy of some titles and quite a few of another.

Thery really aren't that cheap if you are getting free shipping and the 10% discount from Amazon. I almost bought 2 titles from MJ with Media Mail shipping, and then checked out my botton line on Amazon and it was ~$1 cheaper at Amazon.

My understanding is that stores frequently order too many of a particular title and their distributor agrees to taking unsold items back. Well something's gotta happen with all of those excess items. It seems logical that MJE is simply getting them at a discount and thus able to sell them for cheaper than regular stores do. I don't see anything wrong with this at all. Much better that than the excess discs ending up in a landfill. :D

If they were selling "hot" goods I highly doubt they would be stupid enough to leave the Walmart label intact. Many retailers now have their labels applied by the distributor. Once titles are racked at Walmart it is rare for them to get a refill. My guess is that they are simply getting over stock items and see no need to remove the labels placed by the distributor.

I believe that you have possibly slandered, correction libeled (as it is in writing) this MJ whatever business, on a public forum  .To that end, I've changed the topic title and edited some posts. The fewer calls I field from lawyers, the happier I am <G
