I pretty much have delt with the fact i will have to buy online but do not know where to go online that will help me pick one out. Will help me with what i want. A place that will help me not just take my money and run... Any help or suggestions on types of chairs ect... would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

bigDvette 07-04-07, 12:00 PM carolina interiors is great. I live in DFW and actually went and met them where they answer the phones and have some chairs setup (they don't have a showroom, but do have a warehouse).
Very nice guy and sat and watched him do the order. He called Berkline, asked for 1 of 2 people, got on the line, talked about each others families, very friendly with each other and then placed my order.
His ebay rating is 100% which is hard to maintain. Check them out.
cool i will contact thank you for the suggestion.
also any help on what certian chair. I am looking for as soft as possible, to kind of just absorbs me... like sitting on a soft cloud... sorry i live in a small town with no real help.. again i really appreciate any help
ice45-Another good person to contact is Roman from here on the forums, his website is www.rtheaters.com When I ordered my chairs a couple of months ago his prices were the lowest of anyone else by far. He was always available to answer my questions, even when I would email him at 10 at night. He has a large selection of chairs to work with and is able to answer all of your questions regarding Berkline chairs. He is also great to work with after the fact as well, he will constantly keep you updated and if you have any problems he will straighten them out fast. Definately give him a call, and for a chair recommendation I have the 45003 with the grade 4 leather, super smooth and the chair is like heaven.

I second that. Roman has been very professional and curteous, the chairs arrived ahead of schedule and he was great to follow up with even when we had a factory-related problem with the chairs.
Many, many AVSers used and praised him, and his prices are more competitive then any other place I looked.
BSpielbauer 07-05-07, 10:57 PM I woud also add a "kudos" for Roman. I purchased from him about a year ago, a total of seven chairs, (two different models) and I was extremely pleased with everything about the transaction. The chairs were delayed (due to a change in Berkline's schedule at the factory), and Roman notified me as soon as he learned of this. His prices were very competitive (among the lowest), and the service seemed top notch.

CCDAstro 07-06-07, 12:05 AM Yup, Roman is great! I bought 7 leather recliners with power recline from him, just got them two weeks ago. Service was great and price for all leather with power was multi thousands less than the local so-called furniture store!
DocSpine99 07-07-07, 10:20 AM To test sit the Berklines see if there is a theaterxtreme (http://www.theaterxtreme.com) near you. Good place to try, then buy from the forum sales people and save BIG. :D
whiskey alpha 07-07-07, 11:04 AM Has anybody heard from Roman lately.. I have been trying to order some chairs since Thursday. Nobody answers the phone and no repsonse to emails.
Maybe he's on vacation. With all the chairs he sells ( and answering all my emails) he definately deserves one!
JosephF 07-07-07, 01:50 PM I would also check with Serge at htauthority.com (http://www.htauthority.com) .
I got quotes from both Roman and Serge. The best price depended on the exact configuration. In the case of my final choices it ended up being Serge.
I don't think you will find much bad being said about either of these guys :)
whiskey alpha- he had posted in a different thread that he was on the beach on vacation somewhere. He was still periodically checking stuff but it was taking him longer to do so.
oldschl 07-09-07, 09:06 PM I emailed Roman this morning and he got back to me this afternoon. Go ahead and e-mail him.
He also spoke of an upcoming Power Buy!!! Too bad AVS doesn't have a section set out for it anymore. I used to check that weekly to see if something good was being offered.

I will need to keep checking back for the Power Buy. I am looking at picking up 3 Coaster Studio Chairs. Last thing needed and my theater will be complete.
oldschl 07-10-07, 07:39 AM I believe Roman will be selling Berkline for the power buy. I think that Carolina usually has the Coaster power buys. I've been considering both, and decided if I'm going to spend the money, I might as well get what I really want, which is the nicer Berklines.
whiskey alpha 07-10-07, 09:53 AM yup romans back- ordered my chairs-went with the 078's on special. a row of three for the front and 4 for the back. Just have to wait for the theater to get done now.

Actually, we have done only one Coaster PB here. I guess that since Berkline is really our forte, we'll always try to gear our PB's more toward Berkline, especially when we need to clear out all of our stock merchandise from our warehouse.
We'll probably do another Coaster PB at some point though.
bigDvette,
I appreciate the plug! I don't have time to sit here on the forums all the time, but it sure is nice to know that our good customers are giving us referrals. Thank you very much for that!
Best Regards,
KM
oldschl 07-11-07, 01:42 PM Sorry for the confusion - Serge is the Coaster guy. So far, I've heard nothing but praise for all 3 companies, with all giving great customer service. I've shopped locally (actually to sit in Coasters and Berklines), but I'm definitely buying from the guys who support this forum.
Since we have some of the heavy hitters weighing in on this thread, can you guys let us know when your next power buy will be (end-of-summer)? How will you guys be advertising the PB if there isn't a dedicated section for them on AVS anymore?

oldschl,
i am not exactly sure how the powerbuys will be advertised in the future, there will always be the stickies at the op of the appropriate forums, the dedicated powerbuy section of the forum since it's no more would just be one less place where members can find the sales currently going on.
Your first question i have to be careful how to answer due to forum rules. No powerbuys are approved unless/until Alan gives the go ahead but i do know Roman is having one anyday now unless plans have changed (and i mean any day) and then we plan to follow up with our own thereafter on a different brand. I know we are being vague but at least you have a few tidbits of info. Hope this helps.
He also spoke of an upcoming Power Buy!!!
Figures after I order my chairs there would be a Power Buy on them :(
