A Real Newbie Here... I Have An Escient H40 And Love It... Tons Of Music On It... I Want To Upgrade To An E40 Or Se80 But Don't Want To Burn 40-50 Cds To Get The Music Out And Then Put Them Back In The New Unit... I Can Take Out The Hard Drive And "ghost" It As A Backup In Case Of A Crash But That Doesn't Help This Possible Upgrade.
Once I Upgrade I Can Go Back And Forth To A Computer But I Am Stuck At This Point. Escient Gave Me A Company In The Midwest That I Can Send My Whole Unit To And They Will Burn Dvds But I Am Hoping That I Can Send Out My Hard Drive Or Some Other Neat Trick. I Can't Be The First With This Problem... I'm Thinking That A Regular Windows Computer Will Not Recognize The Escient Hard Drive.. Any Thoughts For An Older Newbie Guy? P.s. Southern California If The Solution Is Close To Me.. Thanks
