What are you driving with it? Cambridge has the 340 540 and 640 all under $600, NAD has the C 325BEE or the L53 if you need a DVD player as well.

i'm thinking about getting a couple of bookshelves or smaller floorstanding. Really just for moderate listening volumes. I'll have a full range theater setup in my living room.

Thanks for the suggestions

I would try to nail down the speakers before the amp. Easier to make sure that whatever you get works well together. Most people would rather hear that their amp options are limited than that their speaker options are limited.

I think one of the best buys is actually an internet direct company. It's the Onix A60 or A120MKII integrated amps distributed though **********. We've sold several of these for them as we are an authorized CI for them. They look and sound great. They sound better than most anything I know about under $1K. Lacks some bells & whistles, but certainly would work for a bedroom system for cheap.

The Onix A60 and A120's have been sold out for a while now, and I am not sure they are going to sell them any more, considering they are working on their X-series electronics. I am sure a call to AV123 would clarify it.

Yep, AV123 does have lengthy availability issues from time-to-time.

Get a used McIntosh integrated and be done with it, they can be had for around 600 online and you won't regret it.

Get a used Jolida integrated, it'll double as your night light. :)

I recently bought a Marantz PM 7001. It works great with my B&W 686s.

I am very happy with my Carver CM-1090. One can occasionally be found used for around $450+shipping. Mine is built like a tank, and gives every indication of lasting forever (no guarantee of this, of course.)

Cheapest option is the Pioneer Elite at $200 retail...

Well i'll agree with earlier posts Cambridge 640A for sure or the Nad. Creek Audio might be worth looking at and the Music Hall A25.2
